While dental implants are complex implements, getting them doesn’t have to be any longer. One day is now enough for an entire set of teeth! The Teeth-in-Day process enables Dr. Eric Baker and Dr. Tim Betita to provide you with one or even two full arches—a complete new set of teeth—in a single visit and send you on your way to enjoy your favorite foods, speak normally, and smile again! Teeth-in-a-Day, also called All-on-4®, truly is one the of the greatest breakthroughs in dentistry.
With Teeth-in-a-Day, you’ll receive between four and six dental implants in your upper or lower jaw. This is far faster than placing one dental implant for each missing tooth; that number can run into the dozens and require multiple visits to complete! Once your implants are placed, you’ll be fitted with a beautiful bridge during the same appointment.
You may need to undergo tooth extractions and, depending on the condition of your jawbone, bone grafting before your new teeth can be placed. Dr. Baker and Dr. Betita will perform the procedures with well-practiced skill directly before placing your dental implants, making for added convenience and fewer visits to our Dana Point, CA office. The first step toward a satisfying new life with new teeth is to visit us for a personalized initial consultation, where you’ll receive a comprehensive oral examination and x-rays. These will help us determine whether you’re a candidate for the Teeth-in-a-Day process. As highly qualified oral surgeons, our team is able to offer implants to many patients who’ve not been able to acquire them elsewhere, whether due to a medically compromised condition, severe bone loss or other issues. Even if you’ve been turned down by other practices, we may be able to help you!
On your follow-up visit we’ll take impressions of your teeth and gums to use as a foundation for creating your prostheses—the temporary version of which we’ll place on your very next visit. You’ll receive a full, temporary set of teeth which you can use just like normal teeth. Months later you’ll return to get your final, permanent prosthesis. Once fitted, they’ll provide you with a lifetime of use!
