Our sedation options can provide you maximum comfort before, during and after any procedure. Dr. Eric Baker and Dr. Tim Betita can administer general anesthesia, the most effective way to prevent pain and dental anxiety during some procedures. Certain procedures call for a prescription oral sedative, which you take before you leave home for your appointment. Its calming effects begin before you even arrive! IV sedation offers similar benefits, but is administered throughout your procedure. With these sedation options you’ll need to have someone else drive you to and from your appointment, as you will not immediately be able to safely operate a vehicle.
Nitrous oxide can completely eliminate your fear during a procedure, and wears off quickly afterward. We also use local anesthetic to numb your mouth, often in combination with other forms of anesthesia, or by itself for our least invasive procedures. You won’t have to make any special transportation arrangements for these types of anesthesia.
