When you visit the beautiful and lush Laguna Niguel, the Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park is a must see and do. The now park is on the land that once was owned by Don Julio Aliva as well as the Acajchemem tribe.
When you bike, run or walk through this beautiful wildlife sanctuary, you will experience the open land with mature oaks, sycamore and elderberry trees. The Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park is also home to two year round streams, 30 miles of official trails and rare and endangered plants and animals.
In this vast park, you may stumble upon a historic landmark named Dripping Cave. This cave, also known as Robbers Cave is the park’s largest rock shelter, which was once a temporary refuge by Native Americans. Next time you’re in Orange County, CA, Laguna Niguel is a must see.
